Research in many ways is fundamental to improving what we currently know. Although we perform tasks and make decisions daily, until it is investigated deeper it is difficult to improve. As part of Andy Kavanagh’s Professional Doctorate here at the University of Birmingham, he is investigating the processes that are leading to decisions being made daily in professional football. Already the results from Andy’s research have led to impactful changes in processes that he is involved with. In the video, Dr Liam Anderson discusses with Andy about his doctorate journey, the research that he has undertaken and the impact that it’s had in his current role.
